This is a man's, man's, man's world… We are sure you have heard these lyrics before. Even if we hate to say it, James Brown has spoken this truth over 50 years ago.

So, maybe that is why it is often said that soccer is the most important secondary thing in the world. But as time goes on, is it not the time for new trends and priorities in our culture which would take away that spot from soccer? Well, one of them has done just that, even if it is only for a month.

You guessed it right, we are talking about the one and only MOVEMBER. Movember has gained worldwide popularity in the past few years and the term was coined from two words: moustache and November. But, what really stands behind Movember?

The Movember Foundation was founded in Melbourne, Australia 17 years ago and since then it has its annual event held during November every year. To put it simply - men all over the world grow their moustache during the whole month to raise awareness of important men’s health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men's suicide. It has spread worldwide and reached great success since then.

The most followers come from Canada and Movember was also listed in the world’s top 100 NGOs in 2012. Even some actors decided to join and promote the movement. Parks and Recreation star, Nick Offerman, joined the Movember campaign and the video was one of the most-watched charity videos in 2012 with 1.9 million viewers.

What can you do besides growing a moustache? Remember to care for your mental health and make sure to self-exam or see your doctor. You can find some useful self-exam advice here. Being a man means taking care of yourself first, even if it means asking for help from others sometimes. Stay safe and healthy, boys, and happy Movember!
