International Erasmus Games is an event created by ESN in order to promote health and wellbeing among all students.

We unite exchange students from all over Europe in an effort to promote sports as a universal language which is understood by everyone.

Our efforts break all the barriers which separate the local and international communities of Europe and bring together people from all backgrounds, nationalities and age groups under the motto of healthy competition.

And this year that great event takes place in Paris from 2nd to 5th May, so you better save the date!

So, how does it all go you may ask?

Let me tell you. Each country sends a delegation of their own and at International Erasmus Games they try their luck and bring the victory to their home or Erasmus country. And this year students will be competing in 4 sports!

The official sports for IEG 2019 are:

Futsall, basketball, volleyball and athletics (100m run, 400m run, long jump and relay)! And that is not all, the rules state that we need to have girls on our teams! At least one on the field for futsal and two for volleyball, so IF YOU ARE ALREADY HAVE A TEAM ON YOUR MIND, don’t forget about this.

And if you are still not sure whether to join us in Paris or not, here are some reasons:

  • more than 20 European countries are participating

  • more than 300 Erasmus students in one place for 4 days

  • playing against other Erasmus students and a chance to win it all

  • a chance to explore French culture

  • and do I even have to say this, but: PARIS!

How to join?

The goal is to have a delegation which consists of 20 students and will represent Croatia in Paris.

For any questions about the process and participation fee ask in your local ESN section or contact ESN Croatia Facebook page. Or contact our National IEG Coordinator, Željka Gligora at ieg@esn.hr
