22. Nacionalna platforma Erasmus Studentske Mreže Hrvatska održana je 17.-19. ožujka u glavnom gradu, Zagrebu. Zbog lokacije događaj je nazvan The Witch of Grič.

Time smo završili još jedan događaj puni energije i motivacije za budući rad!

22nd National Assembly Zagreb

English version:

22nd National Assembly of Erasmus Student Network Croatia was held from March 17th to 19th in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb. Because of the location, the event was called The Witch of Grič. Members of 7 local associations; ESN Čakovec, ESN Dubrovnik, ESN Osijek, ESN Rijeka, ESN Split, ESN Zadar, and ESN Zagreb gathered together to elect the next National Board of ESN Croatia, educate themselves in the fields they volunteer in and connect in person to strengthen their motivation for future plans. This time there were even 7 international guests from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Italy, Germany, and Romania, two of which were members of the Chairing Team. Other than that, this platform was important because one of ESN Croatia’s alumni members presented her candidacy for the International Board of ESN AISBL and the local associations were very proud and thrilled to support her candidacy.

This National Assembly was officially opened by the current Education Officer since she is a member of ESN Zagreb, the association which organised the event. On the first day, members of the National Board and Board Support held reports about their work since the last National Assembly in Zadar, after which volunteers present at the Assembly had a chance to ask them questions. A few ice breaker activities were held, and in the evening participants had the chance to get to know each other even better at a themed party.

The second day, Saturday, was completely dedicated to the programme. For starters, the candidates for the next National Board held their candidacies and answered questions about their plans. Erasmus Generation in Action was presented, an initiative to increase awareness about international opportunities and rights of mobile citizens, in light of the upcoming European Parliament elections in May 2024. The role and importance of alumni members on the national level of the Organisation was also discussed, as well as proposals for future partners of the Network, after which the National Board and Local Boards met up to talk about the topics that are bothering them. Volunteers had the chance to get to know more about the roles of the members of the Board Support by a World Cafe method, and 3 workshops were held: Events meet Murphy’s Law, ESN IT Tools & GDPR and Crisis Management. This day was also important because the previous Communication Manager of ESN Croatia, Lina Mohorić, held her presentation during which she introduced everyone to her candidacy for the next Communication Manager in the International Board of ESN AISBL and all the local associations unanimously supported her candidacy and signed her support letter!

Sunday was exciting because of the voting and the voting results of the next National Board, who’s mandate starts on July 1st. We are excited to say that the current Vice President, Ana Batinić, and Treasurer, Kristina Kusturić, will continue their mandates for another year, while the current Education Officer, Katarina Bižanović, will continue her work in the National Board as the President of the Erasmus Student Network Croatia! 3 more workshops were held: Conversational, non-confrontational, What is Social-Impact and EGiA Focus Group Test run, and ESN Awards were kept for the end where each of the local associations won at least one award for an area in which they stood out this year. With that we closed one more event full of energy and motivation for future work!
